Frequently Asked Questions

For any other Mobile IV Drip questions, feel free to contact us on 0450 48 48 48

Do you do groups?

Yes. Our nurses can see more than one person at the same time! Just book "Vitamin Infusion - Group" and enter the names and mobile number for each person attending the appointment and a member of our team will add them into the system manually.

How often can I have an infusion?

There are a number of factors to consider when it comes to frequency of infusion appointments. At your first appointment, our nurses will discuss these with you and with the support of our doctors, can set up a schedule that is safe and within your budget.

Is there a minimum age to have an infusion?

Yes. You must be over the age of 18.

Can I get an infusion if I'm pregnant?

We can still see you while you're pregnant or breastfeeding. First trimester pregnancies require a letter from your OBGYN; second and third trimester pregnancies are eligible for our hydration infusion; while breastfeeding, it is suggested that you do not breastfeed for 6 hours post infusion. You should consult your regular OBGYN or GP before booking any infusion with us while pregnant or breastfeeding.

How long does it take?

It depends on the individual. Most hydration/vitamin infusions run from 45 minutes to 60 minutes. There is also additional time at the beginning and end of the infusion to allow time for you to get comfortable, ask questions, consultation with our medical team, and documentation.

What should I get in my infusion?

Mobile IV Drip nurses are unable to provide advice as to which ingredients you choose to be included in your infusion. It is recommended that you do your own research and/or consult with your regular physician prior to the appointment on the ingredients listed in our menu and what might be appropriate for you on the day. Based on the information provided in your intake form, there may be ingredients not available to you. This will be discussed with you at the appointment.

How does the appointment work?

Our registered nurses come to you at your home/hotel/office or business. Upon booking your infusion you will be sent out an intake form allowing you to advise us of any pre-existing medical conditions or medication/treatment plans you are currently on. This is then reviewed by our medical team to ensure that we are providing you with an infusion that is safe. All infusions are administered under an order from one of our doctors and some ingredients/infusion types may not be available to you based on information provided in your intake form. Our nurse will build your bespoke infusion at your appointment, monitor you during the infusion to ensure your safety and comfort.

Will you need to put a needle in my arm?

Yes. As the name suggests, IV (intravenous) involves the insertion of a cannula into a vein, allowing for fluids and vitamins to be administered directly into the bloodstream. A needle is used to place a cannula (plastic tube) and then removed leaving only the plastic tubing in your arm and removed once the infusion is completed.

Is there any downtime after my infusion?

No downtime at all! You can go back to work or play; but we recommend not doing any kind of strenuous activity involving the arm that you have received the infusion via for up to 6 hours after the infusion.

Will I bruise?

There is a chance of bruising with any invasive procedure. Our nurses will do everything they can to minimise this and will provide you with directions post infusion on how to minimise the chances of a bruise appearing.
