Why SubCut?

How something is delivered makes a real difference in how your body absorbs and uses it. Subcutaneous injection (just beneath the skin) bypasses the digestive system, avoiding the breakdown and loss that can happen with oral supplements.

This method allows for gentle, gradual absorption into the bloodstream, helping maintain steadier levels over time rather than the quick rise and fall seen with other delivery methods. It’s also simple, convenient, and minimally invasive; no clinic visits, no IV lines, and far less discomfort.

Subcutaneous delivery is the ideal balance between effectiveness and ease, designed for people who want reliable results with minimal interruption to their routine.

FAQ's

Our team will discuss everything you need to know about using your Inject+ pen at your phone consultation, but below are some frequently asked questions in case there is something you want to know now.

What is a subcutaneous pen?

A reusable or disposable device designed to deliver a pre-measured dose of a compounded formulation just beneath the skin, using a fine needle for gradual absorption.

How is it different from an IV infusion?

Subcutaneous delivery provides slower, more consistent absorption over time compared with IV infusion’s immediate peak. It’s more convenient for home use and doesn’t require medical supervision once prescribed.

How do I know if a pen is suitable for me?

Before any prescription is issued, you’ll complete a medical intake and screening questionnaire reviewed by our medical team and prescribing physician. This process ensures the formulation and dosage are appropriate for your goals, health status, and any current medications.

Do I need a prescription?

Yes. All pens contain Schedule 4 prescription-only ingredients in Australia. A prescribing physician must assess your suitability before Inject+ will be supplied.

Where do I inject?

Typically in areas with subcutaneous fat such as the abdomen, upper thigh, or upper arm. Rotating sites helps avoid irritation or bruising.

How often do I use the pen?

Your prescribed dosing schedule is personalised by your practitioner and displayed in your member portal. Never adjust frequency without consulting them.

Does it hurt?

Most clients report minimal discomfort; a brief sting or mild pressure at the site. Higher-concentration solutions may cause more sensation; rotating sites and injecting slowly helps.

How should I store my pen?

Keep refrigerated at 2–8 °C unless otherwise stated. Do not freeze. Transport using a cooler if travelling.

How long does it last once opened?

Generally up to 30 days once punctured, depending on the compound. Check your pharmacy label and discard after the expiry date.

Do I need to use alcohol swabs?

Yes. Always clean the injection site and pen tip before use. We will provide the correct number of swabs with your Inject+ Pen.

Can I reuse needles?

No. Always use a new sterile needle for each injection to prevent infection or tissue irritation. Additional needle heads for the Inject+ pen can be requested from us directly or can be purchased from any pharmacy.

What should I do if I see redness or swelling?

Mild redness can be normal, but if pain, swelling, or warmth persists, contact us or the pharmacy immediately.

Can I travel with my pen?

Yes; travel cases are provided with your first purchase of Inject+ pens. Please ensure that the ice packs provided are frozen before you set off and refrigerate as soon as possible.

Can I share my pen?

No. Each 3 mL pen is designed for single-patient use only. Needles must be changed for each injection, and pens should not be shared or refilled.

What if I miss a dose?

Administer the next dose at the regular time. Do not double up to compensate.

Who can I contact for support?

Contact us on 0450484848 for any assistance with your Inject+ Pen.

Where are the pens made?

All Inject+ pens are compounded in Australian-registered compounding pharmacies operating under TGA-licensed cleanroom conditions.

Are these the same as imported or commercial pens?

No. Compounded pens are custom-formulated for individual prescriptions, not mass-produced. They are prepared using pharmaceutical-grade ingredients sourced from TGA-approved or GMP-certified suppliers, ensuring traceability and purity.

How is sterility ensured?

Each batch is aseptically filtered, sealed, and packaged under sterile laminar-flow conditions. Pharmacy partners perform sterility and endotoxin testing consistent with compounding protocols for injectable products.
